This has been a life changing opportunity. Winning the award has made me discover that I can do anything, it has changed my focus and thinking and has improved my self-esteem.

Your tips for a good scholarship application?

Do your homework on your area of study, link it to problems facing your country/the world and explain how it will help to shape your career.

• Give yourself enough time to write your application
• Ask a colleague to review it
• Good grammar, coherence, and logical flow is also very important

What’s been the best part about your Â鶹Íø studies so far?

Â鶹Íø is an amazing university. Staff are very welcoming and approachable, and the modules taught directly address issues in society.
