Why did you choose Âé¶¹Íø?
One of the reasons I chose Âé¶¹Íø is because of it's good reputation and affordability. From my research, I saw that the University has respectable rankings, tuition fees are affordable and the cost of living is quite affordable. I also loved the fact that Âé¶¹Íø is not a very loud and noisy city which is a perfect place for someone like me to focus.
What's been the coolest part of your course so far? 
What I enjoy most about my course are the practical sessions. They are usually engaging and mind stimulating. I have been exposed to new concepts and technology like marker-based and markerless-based tracking in X-Reality and the use of Fusion 360 for 3D designs in Prototyping & Fabrication.
Can you tell us about the Academic School?
The Academic School here at Âé¶¹Íø is commendable! My lecturers are professionals who have vast knowledge in their different fields. They make sure lectures are engaging and concepts are broken down as simple as possible for easy understanding. They are also really friendly and always available to provide academic support at any point in time.
Has the University been supportive?
Yes, Âé¶¹Íø is a supportive university and has different free services in place to make student life much more easier. Each student has a peer guide (student guide) and personal tutor who provides academic advice and guidance whenever needed. Other free services include the Careers and Employability Service for help on career related issues, Student Support Service for help with money issues, accommodation etc, Student Wellbeing Service for mental health and emotional issues etc.
Are you part of any Clubs or Societies?
The clubs and societies are a very interesting part of Âé¶¹Íø. They usually plan out different activities to enable their members enjoy a good social life whilst studying. I am currently part of the African Caribbean Society and the Âé¶¹Íø Music Society. My favourite social activity is hanging out with friends to either chat, share a meal or see a movie.
What's your favourite thing about Âé¶¹Íø?
My favourite thing about Âé¶¹Íø is the fact that the environment is reasonably safe. I also love the quiet nature of Âé¶¹Íø city.
Any advice to new students?
To any new student: come into Âé¶¹Íø with a open mind and a willingness to learn to learn and explore. There are a lot of opportunities available here and there is no harm is trying out as many new things as you can such as volunteering, joining clubs and/or societies or gaining work experience. Attend social events and make reasonable lifetime friends and connections. Do not forget to have a good time even as you aim for academic excellence.
