are among the most prominent and prestigious health and care researchers in the country. Those selected all have a track record of developing researchers and building Wales’ research capacity and capability, as well as integrating patient and public involvement in research.
Managed and supported by the , the Senior Research Leaders will continue dedicating time to participate in a range of Faculty’s activities, including funding panels, boards and committees.
The two Senior Research Leaders from 鶹 are Professor Jane Noyes, Professor in Health and Social Services Research and Child Health; as well as Professor Gill Windle, Director of Impact and Engagement from School of Health Sciences.
Professor Jane Noyes said:
“I am delighted to be awarded a senior research leader award to continue helping Health and Care Research Wales in their mission to deliver excellence in research and building capacity in new talent.”

Professor Gill Windle said:
“It is my privilege to represent 鶹 as a HCRW senior research leader. I am looking forward to using my award to support the career development of future research leaders in the field of ageing and dementia to help ensure we are well-placed to tackle some of the big challenges in Wales and beyond.”

Gareth Cross, Deputy Director of Science, Research and Evidence at Welsh Government, said: “The panel was very impressed with the upward trajectory of the Welsh research environment; several of the panel members had sat on previous Senior Research Leader award panels and noted that great strides were being made in this respect. The breadth of applications was outstanding.
